Created over millions of years, the running streams have methodically carved their way down through the sandstone escarpment to form what is the most complex, intricate and visually stunning wet canyon systems in the world!
Exploring Canyons requires an array of skills including swimming, rock scrambling, water jumps, abseiling & occasionally rockclimbing.
An entry level abseiling and canyoning experience that is an ideal introduction to this amazing adventure sport!
The first part of the day is focussed on acquiring abseiling skills, we start with several short practice abseils and then move up to some higher challenges, the introductory abseiling session is an exciting adventure in its own right!
After lunch we'll test our new skills with a trip through the breathtaking Empress Canyon. The journey takes us deep inside the sandstone cliff, wading, scrambling and jumping into pools!
Once we discover daylight again we’ll need our abseiling skills for a spectacular 30 metre waterfall abseil to exit the canyon. We finish this awesome canyon journey with a short scenic trek back to our starting point!

This canyon is serious fun! One of the most popular “non-technical” canyoning tours you can do in the Blue Mountains. Sheep Dip doesn't involve any abseiling, however it does have lots of slippery dips, water jumps and interesting scrambles.
This expedition makes for a very exciting day in the wild without the complexity of ropes, rigging and hardware.
The great thing about this trip is that you won’t require any previous experience to participate in what is a very scenic and memorable canyon journey.

Wollangambe is a popular canyoning trip, which requires no abseiling experience and can be undertaken by canyoners of all ages providing they can swim.
For an invigorating day in the Blue Mountains, a trip down Wollangambe can't be beaten!
The water is slow moving and gently winds its way through the towering sandstone cliffs. The pace is casual and you are free to paddle leisurely along enjoying the picturesque scenery and idyllic atmosphere.
A picnic lunch on the white sands of a Wollangambe beach is a memory that will last a life time!

Serendipity is a beautiful canyon where you're likely to see some freshwater yabbies, birdlife, plants, cool fungi and some amazing rock formations.
The canyon involves four short but exciting abseils, an optional water jump and some short swims. At the exit point we'll also get to check out a short section of Wollangambe Canyon.
Serendipity is a great option for those that have never been in a technical canyon before but have previous outdoor experience, good fitness and would like to do a full day in a more adventurous setting.

Upper Bowens Creek South Branch is quite simply, an excellent canyon!
Action-packed with two abseils up to 20m, some short swims, optional water jumps, log slides, boulder scrambles and some lovely walking through Coachwood and Sassafras forest.
The lower section features some out of this world formations- Up there with the best of any Blue Mountainds Canyons!
This full day canyon is suitable for adventurers with good fitness who have some previous abseiling experience.

A memorable journey that doesn’t involve getting very wet!
While Tigersnake is the classic winter canyon tour it’s also a great summer time adventure for those who want to experience something different!
Four exciting abseils up to 25m, one is overhanging and the highlight is the abseil into a deep dark slot into the narrow chasm below. We usually only run this canyon in winter. In most conditions only your feet should get wet, but it could be anywhere up to your thighs.
It is a canyon that is not only physically challenging, but offers some great bushwalking and impressive abseils!

Claustral Canyon is the jewel in the crown, it is easily the most sought after advanced level, expedition canyon in The Blue Mountains!
A spectacular, scenic and exciting wilderness adventure of world class proportions, what more can we say!
A Claustral Expedition requires an early start and involves a long, challenging day, however it's one you'll never forget!
You will need a high level of fitness, be proficient in abseiling and be a reasonable swimmer to take part in a Claustral Canyon Expedition.

A challenging, technical canyon situated on the scenic rim of the Grose Valley. Butterbox includes seven abseils up to 20m in length, the highlight being a two pitch abseil down through a deep sandstone slot.
Amazing rock formations, with challenging multiple abseil descents are key features of this canyon. This canyon also features some of the best water jumps of any Blue Mountains Canyon!
The exit route involves a short, exposed grade 10 rock climb (on a top-rope) then continues across the ridge top returning to our starting point.
For this trip you will need to have previous canyoning and abseiling experience, good fitness and be a proficient swimmer.

An extended canyon adventure involving the complete spectrum of canyon skills.
Numerous short abseils, intricate down climbing, trekking, scrambling and narrow slot swims including a short "duck- under" where we swim sub-surface to continue the canyon journey.
This canyon is exquisite and features some of the finest formations in the Blue Mountains. This is a long and physically demanding day - be prepared!
For this trip you will need to have previous canyoning and abseiling experience, good fitness and be a proficient swimmer.
